The weekend went way to fast and here we are on Monday-ready or not. My week will be filled watching baseball games(daughter), driver's education classes(son), book talks to promote summer reading program at the library, and all the end of the year school activites(2 weeks left!). Hopefully there will be time to read because it is my therapy!!

My vacation to Mexico was wonderful! No cell phone and no watch. Just me and a good book on the beach. Honestly life couldn't get any sweeter. :)

Well it's back to reality......kids, work, and a million other time consuming activities.
It's time to jump back into life and get back to blogging.

How is it possible? Somehow I missed the weekend and now it's Monday!

I have done a ton of reading but really slacking on getting my reviews posted. I vow to post one review a night till I get caught up.( I also vow to not eat bread for a week as a punishment....alright that has more to do with the 5 pounds I want to lose before Mexico)

Please endure my NyQuil ramblings as I try to recount my past week of reading. I had huge plans for Spring Break-painting, dejunking, etc. Much to my children's dismay I caught the flu and spent most of the week alternating between couch and bed. Thank goodness for playdates, xbox and the Disney Channel. Plans of cleaning garage and yard work came to a screeching halt. Happy children played with friends and engaged in electronic entertainment while mother hacked up lungs.

BUT I did get alot of reading done! Luckily I wrote reviews because I can't really recall details today.

This week I plan to read:

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson for a book club that I recently joined.

Very excited-I've heard great things about it.

And of course I'm gearing up for Dewey's 24 Hour read-a-thon taking place on April 10th.

My plan is to read small short books- I've chosen some Newberry Honor Books that mostly just sit on the shelf. If I read them it would be much easier to recommend them, right?

Where did the weekend go?

After a few days of furious spring cleaning I can claim that every closet in my house has been de-junked and reorganized, windows are washed, and house is no longer under inches of winter dust! I feel victorious although children are still glaring at me and whispering among themselves that I failed to follow child labor laws.
